CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE
FROM MARC J. ELKOWITZ, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Greetings from Plastic Surgery of New York,
We hope this letter finds you safe and healthy! The COVID-19 virus has disrupted nearly every aspect of our daily lives. Of particular concern, is an increasing number of people who do not have access to medical care. More and more, doctor’s offices are being closed, office hours are being curtailed, and hospital systems are diverting resources to fight the ravages of the Coronavirus. We would like you to know that we are here to help. Our telephones are being answered, our staff is available, and our doctors are always willing and able to help. We are not experts at treating the Coronavirus, but other medical problems still occur, injuries still happen, questions still arise, and our current patients need to see us again. We can speak with you over the telephone, we can visit with you virtually via video conference call, and triage those who need direct care. Please feel free to contact us at 516-773-9200, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for any reason (even just to say hi!). This is a crazy time, but there is a silver lining. Think about all of the things that you have always wished you had time to do. Read or write a book, reconnect with your family, train your dog, cook with your children, enjoy a casual meal, or even read the 27,395 unread emails in your inbox! We at Plastic Surgery of New York wish you well, stay safe, wash your hands, and know that we are here if you need us.
